Meet the Crew: Shepherd Mountain

Mountain bike trail builders are a rare breed cut from a very unique kind of cloth. Having to be part construction worker, part heavy machinery operator, part mechanic, part sawyer, part bike nerd, and part weatherman makes good builders hard to come by. We're proud to have collected so many passionate builders from all over the US and we'd love to introduce some of them to you!

First up is our crew currently chipping away at the Shepherd Mountain Bike Park.

Meet Taylor! A Missouri native, he's our in-house engineer that heads up many of our structure-based features. His designs have come to life in the form of the wall ride at Marble Flats in AR and the Corkscrew here at the park. Taylor also doubles as an operator when he isn't cranking out miles on his gravel or XC rig.

Next up is our man Kevin. Originally from the east coast, Kevo transplanted to Colorado before joining our crew. He still calls Purgatory his home park and is doing his part to keep freeride alive. Another man of multiple hats Kevin spends part of his time building and the other heading up all our medias

Next is the newest member of our crew, Teddy! All the way from Santa Fe, NM, Teddy's best known for ripping laps at Angel Fire (when he isn't racing enduro) and is our go-to sawyer as well as an operator. We're stoked to officially have Teddy on board after having his help on some of our earliest projects in New Mexico.

Lastly we have this crew's Foreman, Morgan! No stranger to building, Morgan came to Jagged Axe after working for a Michigan-based trail company where she is also from. As foreman she picks up all the project logistics and operates. Off the clock Morgan splits her time between going far on bikepacking trips and going fast at enduro races.
