The Jagged Axe Trail Designs trail builder crew is dedicated to providing quality, sustainable trail. We have a background in various types of terrain ranging from Texas rock to Washington loam. Our crew consists of experienced riders who have the eye and knowledge to layout a great trail. Whether you want to revamp existing trail or you've been dreaming of building trail, let us take your project to the next level.

How did we get started?

Alex Scott grew up in the rural hill country of Texas on a Christian outdoor adventure camp, Camp Eagle. He got began mountain biking at the age of nine and fell in love with the sport. The many acres of land he grew up on gave him the prime opportunity to build his own trails to ride. He has always had a natural eye for trail building and a passion to progress in the sport. The

trails Alex grew up building at Camp Eagle have become some of the most highly favored trails in Texas.

 

In 2011, Alex met his wife Kelsie and they got married in December of 2014. Alex’s dream of building trail professionally came true in 2016 when he took a position at Glorieta Camps to put in a new system of trails. These trails became Alex’s big start after they were used for several of the stages at a Big Mountain Enduro event. It became clear to many that Alex had a natural ability for building fun and sustainable trail. The word spread and after a year of employment as an operator under a mentor company, Alex and Kelsie started Jagged Axe Trail Designs on May 22, 2018.

 

Jagged Axe is now one of the top mountain bike trail building companies in the NWA area. They consider it a huge blessing getting to encourage outdoor recreation and do what they love for a living.
